This is my second wall hanging done in Pennsylvania Dutch colors. A very simple pattern using 2-1/2" green squares, 2-1/2" gold squares (cut in half on the diagonal), and 3-1/4" red squares. (Borders are yet to be determined size wise.)
And on the right you see the backing fabric. This piece I've been saving for about 30 years, proving once again that colors do come 'round again just like Spring. . . . we just have to wait patiently for it.Until then, keep stitchin' . . .

Love, love, love those colors! And that piece of backing is as perfect as if you just shopped for it! Great job! Hugs, Finn
Fun quilt...like the comment on the fabric. I must have missed when it went out of fashion?!
Oh man - got to love those colors! And the backing is perfect for the top - even if it was 30 years old!!!!!
Great colours. It almost looks like the backing fabric belongs on the front as well. 30 years is certainly a long time to hold on to a piece of fabric. It is amazing how time flies!!
ok you just need to finish this quilt and send it to me, you KNOW I would LOVE IT and treasure it for ever!!!!
ah , yes just let the fabric do the talking
beautiful!

Yummy quilt...and that would be just the reason that we keep our stash forever! That's the perfect back.
