Recently, this gem was unearthed. Begun in 1986, yes you've read that right, I believe it's time to finish it. Perhaps for Valentine's Day.
It's coming up you know. Next Tuesday. Susan Branch has paper hearts hung in all of her windows, which is a terrific idea, especially if there are kids around to help you out.
Dolly isn't very good with scissors, so I think we'll just focus on quilting.
Have you bought your loved ones something special? Flowers, chocolate, or a gift certificate to the local quilt shop? Why not all 3. After all, it only comes but once a year!
Until then, keep stitchin' . . .

Elvis sings, "1 for the money, 2 for the show, 3 to get ready
now go cat go, but don't you, step on my blue suede shoes."
Now that you're humming along, let's look at the next quilt top shall we.
It's a scrappy Irish chain, which I gave some instructions on how to do here. The 25 patch blocks are made up of 2" squares.
Dolly and I have been having serious conversations about this year's garden. I'm of the opinion that it's time she learned how to pull the wagon, haul dirt, and carry shovels. She emphatically reminds me it's her job to rest in the shade and supervise. Hmmm, a conundrum.
