Finally, some pictures came out well in the Dairy Barn

Let's start with the show stoppers shall we  . . . and there were many.

 Proud warrior by Billy Reynolds, one piece of hand carved wood.

 Ohhh I wanted this sooo badly to brighten my garden.  But alas, my garden isn't formerly designed yet.

Fun metal pieces by Jimmy and Marlene Hopkins.  Sadly, they are unable to ship.

Another wonderful carver, Larry Green's figures always convey whimsey.

 This pitcher wanted to come home with me, but it's not blue.

Lovely shape and balance though by Marian Heintz.

 Nonna was back with her incredibly detailed santas.

 You really must see these in person to appreciate the workmanship.

Talk about teamwork, Elaine and Dennis Ryan have so many high-quality pieces it's hard to choose.

Those were just a few of the amazing items on display at the John C. Campbell Folk School Fall Festival this morning.

Many of these artisans come back yearly, some are here for the first time.  All are worth buying from, especially if you're looking for the perfect gift.

Batter up!

The 25-patch is done.  It's the first quilt that's been assembled and quilted within one year for a long time.

This pineapple quilt top was made in 1993; as I recall, it took me 3 weeks to cut out the pieces.  Pinned and partially quilted in 2016, it's time to get it finished!

A day late, $3.00 short.

For 30+ years I've used Sew-Art International clear monofilament on each and every one of my quilts, my client's quilts, my friend's quilts, and "heavens to Betsy" more-than-many baby quilts.  It's held up beautifully.

While working on the newest 25-patch, I've discovered I'm down to my last spool.  So I went on line to order more and guess what . . .  

They DON'T make it any more.  As of 2014.  Sheesh, how did this happen.  Evidently I missed the memo. 

Sooo, what brand do you recommend fellow quilters?

Tonight's menu is simple.  Cheesy hashbrown potatoes baked in an iron skillet and foil wrapped pork chops.  Done in 40 minutes.  Stop in if you're hungry.
