You may recall, this project was begun in Dec. 2008. (If you click on that post, assembly is outlined). The blue squares are 2-1/2" cut, setting triangles 5" squares cut diagonally, and the vertical blue strips are 3-1/2" cut.
I should have made it a bit longer. However, this is a nice size for a baby quilt and would work up well in pastels.
Remember when doing bar quilts, the 7 vertical strips must be cut on the lengthwise grain. To make assembly MUCH easier, starch everything before cutting each piece. You'll be glad you did.
The garden is growing slowly. We're expecting an abundant crop of cucumbers any day now. The plants grown from Ferry Morse seeds are doing far better than the cucumber plants I bought. There are more blooms from the FM seeds and they've grown faster.
