Are you seeing snow flurries outside your window this morning?

I sure am.  It must be time to decorate for Christmas.

I started with a blue and white theme this year, pulling out my Liberty Blue china.

 The Santa plate my Aunt Eleanor gave my mom years ago.

And the stained glass angels my dad made. 

 You may remember this Debbie Mumm pattern.

Cozy red themed quilts were added to the great room.

And the table runner I made for my mom is on the harvest table.

Once I can pull out the bins full of other decorations, I'll be able to finish up.

How is your house coming along?  Have you started your gift shopping yet or are you making all the presents this year?

Slow going on the decorating,

But I've had to move all the rugs to the front porch for cleaning, then do the floor, and the baseboards . . . you know the routine.

The ceramic tree is up though, as the balcony is all done. I made this in 1984 and still enjoy it.

Found these recently at Hobby Lobby for 50% off. Now what to fill them with, hmmmm.

Dolly's wagon full of quilts, some waiting to be displayed.

I bought this originally to teach Dolly to pull in the 40-lb bags of pellets for the stove. However, it's wayyy too big and thus I'll be selling it soon. Made by an Amish craftsman, it even has the bars to hitch up your pony.

Christmas Quilt Show

This sawtooth (made in 2003) is my Christmas submission for the quilt show going on over at Sew Cal Gal. (Say that 3 times fast!)

I've yet to hang up my fall quilt display and am considering jumping right into Christmas instead. For the first time in 25 years, all of my xmas decorations are in one place.

Also this year will be the first time I'll be able to have my own live tree. I'm going to buy a plantable one and enjoy seeing it grow.

Can we get an Amen / Hallelujah from the choir on that one please?
