Christmas in June?

Am I early or late?

Probably late, as this was started maybe 5 years ago.  A very simple pattern utilizing a busy background print.  I'm thinkin' maybe "table topper".

Next up are a few items from Jill's shop.  

 If you have a grandchild heading off to college and can't make them a quilt, here's one option, kitties!

This little remnant is so adorable, it almost came home with me.

Finito, Completo, Bandito

 Ooops, no banditos . . . sorry, I was on a roll.

This baggie is busted.  Squares going back to 1989 / 1990 ? . . . one of the very first classes I took.

Initially, I used a rather odd combination of colors, soft pastels and vibrant darks.  However, the light lavender leaning towards gray sashing with pale yellow works well to calm and coordinate.

Of course, just as I finished assembling this beauty, another baggie with even more of the same blocks was discovered.   Big SIGH!

First QOV for 2017

You may have heard that Alycia is having a link-in / link-up / connect-a-post.

So if you've finished a Quilt of Valor top or are working on a QOV, it's time to show your work.     
Since I only bought one yard of the blue fabric, on sale, my borders came out a bit narrow.  Ah well, it's perfect for someone having to use a wheelchair.

It's a biography by the way.

 This is the first box I tackled.  The hardest part will be the 3 bags of triangle pieces, all different sizes.  What to do?  Any suggestions?

Tonight I opened this one, which, I'm afraid, is going to take awhile.

Up on the design wall, this represents one empty baggie, 144 hourglass squares begun about 9 years ago.  Behind it are 2 more smaller quilt tops in the works.  That's 3 empty baggies in one week, yippee.

Quilty goodness

Another winner.

 This aging beauty is currently being mended.  It seems the blocks with madder colors have disintegrated the most.

 The blocks' side strips are less than 1-1/4" wide.

 Does anyone recognize this pattern?

 The store owner is very creative in her pattern choices.

We're having another rainy and COOL day here in the south.  Thank goodness!  We need the rain and Dolly and I really appreciate the cool.
