P is for Perky. P is for Pink!

Using 2" squares, a variety of pinks and lights were assembled willy nilly.  My favorite kind of scrappiness, willy nilly.  Then I put the 9-patches away for a rainy day.

My "rainy day" was Saturday after yet more bunny trauma.  Silver had picked up the same infection as Thimbell.  After treating her, I spent the day sewing away.  Silver gets medication, I get to sew.

As you can see, Dolly is thrilled another new quilt top is almost completed.

We'll show more pictures once the borders are on and the sun comes out.

No new sewing due to last night's latest bunny trauma, but . . .

I can share some photos from vacation.

Thimbell is doing better.  She had a wound that needed special treatment.  Luckily I have a dear friend who could take care of it.  It's been a very rough month of bunny trauma to be sure. Thankfully, I can recuperate with color therapy.  Thimbell, on the other hand, gets carrots and apples.

Thursday musings

Awhile back, good buddy L.B. passed on to me some left over triangle units.

I assembled them in a pinwheel fashion, starched and trimmed the blocks to 6-1/2".

Lo and behold in my stash was a clear soft blue, which I cut 2-3/4" wide for sashing, 3" for borders.  Don't ask me why I chose those measurements, I must be branching out from my 1/2" increment phase.

A few of the goodies I brought home from vacation.  The cheddars are in the dryer.

This is Opal, or maybe Pearl.  I cannot tell them apart.  Since putting up their new fence on Saturday, every day one bun gets to run around for the day.  Sort of like recess. 

Dolly always likes to get in on the action.  Even though it involved fabric and not food, go figure.
