It's snowing.
Again or still, you choose.
This is what 40% chance of snow looks like.
Evidently I learned a different definition of percentages than the weatherman.
40% off of a yard of fabric I can calculate in a flash, but snow, no way.
I'm very thankful I can look out and enjoy it and not have to drive in it.
Dolly is too.
Until then, keep stitchin' . . .

Yes officer I admit I was speeding,
but you see, this box of 2" squares must be used up and fast.
Besides I only have one more row to add to my glorified 9-patch and then I can get it quilted.
Sigh, sometimes the quilt police have no sense of humor.
Until then, keep stitchin' . . .

"Why do mornings always come so early?"
Asks Dolly.
Because we were up late working on the latest version of American chain.
I'm actually working on 2 different versions of this pattern and will share some tips and tricks to create this design very soon. If you'd like to play along, assemble a variety of dark 2" squares and some background fabric. Oh and be sure to locate your ruler which has 1/8th inch increments. You're gonna need it.

Let's give a round of applause . . .
for the fact that I actually got this baby quilted!
Hip Hip Hooray, oh happy day!
A dear friend cleaned off her cutting table and sent me the scrappy squares, which I turned into a pinwheel block and framed in blue.
This is for a baby boy due in just a few weeks.
How are your finish-up projects coming along?
